I have been working in Egyptian tourism since 1989 and started my career as a Tour Leader, showing adventure travellers from all over the world the beauty and culture of my country. I know Egypt extremely well, her famous sites and also her hidden charms and secrets. I am very proud being Egyptian – we have one of the most fascinating histories that has ever lived and best of all, it is still accessible and still magnificent. When I travel around Egypt I am always overawed by what I see. Standing at a place like Karnak temple, my curiosity gets the better of me and I wonder about the lives of the Pharaoh's, how they lived, why they built these magnificent structures and what it was like to be under their rule. We know so much about those times, yet still we know so little and every now and then I whisper into the stones of the temples seeking answers. For me Egypt is more than just our ancient sites. I considered myself very fortunate to be living during such a fascinating time in the modern history of Egypt. We are making history as a people and I relish the opportunity to be part of the bright future we all want for Egypt. I enjoy traveling abroad and I am lucky enough to have many friends from many different cultures. I have travelled to Italy, France, Switzerland, Australia and Turkey and my biggest dream is to explore Latin America. I don't know where I get my obsession for visiting Latin America, but maybe it's because I love the movies of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek so much!!!
